Sunday 7th April 2024 saw 20,000 runners taking part in the Brighton Marathon and we were fortunate to have three incredible runners taking part in this event. Andrew Neenan and Helen Walsh ran to help raise awareness and funds for myocarditis research in the UK and Jake Collier ran in memory of Alexander Jansons who was his friend.
The day was a huge success with Andy Jansons, Alex Jansons, Pam Jansons and Sarah Baker having the privilege of welcoming each of the runners before the race and cheering them on as they ran the challenging 26.2 mile course that took runners from Preston Park north towards Withdean taking in some of the cities most iconic landmarks including Brighton Pavilion. The course also took runners along the coast to Ovingdean, past white cliffs and back for breathtaking views of the city … although not sure how many were appreciating the view as they ran with the hope of making their best times for the marathon.
Our three runners, Helen Walsh, Jake Collier and Andrew Neenan, all looked amazing in their charity T-shirts on the day and we are so proud of them and their efforts!
