With the slow start to summer, we were nervous and excited to be part of the Chequers Pub Party… Would the sun shine? Would people still want to party after all the bank holidays we have been spoilt with this year? With everything going on in the world, will people want to support charity? But We needn’t have worried…
Sunday the 28th of May arrived full of sunshine and whilst we unpacked our charity gazebo and bits and pieces, the pizza ovens and BBQ fires were all aflame and everyone was in good spirits for the day ahead and wow! What a day it was!
Chequers pub served amazing food and the live music from various artists kept the atmosphere relaxed and fun throughout the day. As for us? Well, we were so thrilled by the incredible support from everyone there. Our children Tombola sold out of toys, the raffle ticket sales flew and everyone was so interested in myocarditis and what we do.
This incredible day couldn’t have been possible without the helpful team at Chequers Pub, Alexia who sourced amazing prizes to add to the raffle and the kindness of everyone there. Together we raised a WHOPPING £7000!
