From trustees and researchers to volunteers, supporters and people with lived experience, The Faces Behind Myocarditis UK is a new campaign celebrating the individuals whose passion, expertise and commitment drive our mission every day.
More than a charity
When people think about Myocarditis UK, they often think about the support we provide to those affected by myocarditis or the research we help fund. While these remain at the heart of everything we do, there is so much more happening behind the scenes.
Every conversation with a newly diagnosed patient, every awareness campaign, every fundraising challenge and every research project is made possible by people who share one common goal: improving outcomes for everyone affected by myocarditis.
Our summer campaign provides us with an opportunity to introduce you to some of those people.

Throughout July and August, we’ll be sharing a series of stories introducing the people who make Myocarditis UK what it is today.

Each story will provide a different perspective on the charity’s work and highlight how collaboration is helping us make progress.
Looking ahead
As we move towards World Myocarditis Day on the 17th August, our focus will shift from the people behind the charity to the future of myocarditis research and awareness.
We’ll be sharing an exclusive message from our Chair, Andy Jansons, along with inspiring stories from members of our community and an exciting announcement about the Jonathan Hudson Research Initiative – a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting research that improves diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.
Together, these stories demonstrate how patients, families, researchers, clinicians, volunteers and supporters all have a role to play in creating a better future for everyone affected by myocarditis.
